T-Mobile
Things are getting interesting at T-Mobile. The CEO of T-Mobile USA is stepping down in May 2011. He is being replaced by the CEO of T-Mobil Europe. There are also reports of T-Mobile stores opening early
on June 19th. I don't know what all this means. I hope that there will bee some options that will be competitive
with Sprint, AT&T and Verizon. I have not made the leap into smart phone arena yet but I hope these moves
give me a reason to make the change.

Energy Policy
I hope that the Federal Government continues to pursue Green Transportation to end our dependency on oil.

Phones
There are so many great phones coming out it is hard to choose. I think that it is wise for me to accept the advise of Endgadget and wait. I like The EVO, it would require a switch from T-Mobile to Sprint. The new IPhone sounds promising and would require a switch to AT& T. There are unconfirmed rumores that Verizon will be getting the IPhone soon. I'm hoping that Sprint will get the IPhone as well. The Wimax (4G) is tempting. I will have to wait until the dust settles. I want to make the move to the smart phone arena but time will tell.

Mag Lav Trains
I wonder what it would be like to have high speed trains in Texas like they have in Europe. It is funny
that i see the video on the web about a guy from NASA tying to put PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) in California. (see Sky Tran Post) After viewing a few videos on YouTube I realized that cities put lite rail in to accomplish job
creation and real estate development. They often state that this is the best way to accomplish mass transit but
technology exist to do it faster cheaper and without using eminent domain. It makes you wonder if there was
a way to bypass the slow moving local governments what could be done to give effective mass transit for the
general public.....

Goodby to a Great Man
Went to a funeral today. He was a great man. I was OK until his grand daughter gave a heartfelt speech.
There was no dry eye in the house at that time. He was encouraging supportive and he had a good sense of humor.
He will be missed.
